Un...Hello, sorry for the late reply to the comment. Unlocking the 4th core on these processors has always been hit or miss. Any 880-based baord should be able to unlock the 4th core as long as the BIOS is equipped with ACC options. However, your mileage may vary. The extra cores for these models were disabled at the factory precisely because they didn't pass quality control. Most of the people who unlock them will come into stability problems or will only be able to run it at stock speed with the extra core unlocked. If you're lucky, it'll be stable and you'll be able to overclock the heck out of it.Edhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08128019008732356137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6439161.post-12005529924157626112012-01-18T01:17:05.201+08:002012-01-18T01:17:05.201+08:00I was making a similar budget rig and i was wonder...I was making a similar budget rig and i was wondering if ASRock 880 can unlock the 4th core of the Athlon II x3.NiallMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10822121347272636395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6439161.post-86332042338031559602011-08-11T20:25:25.821+08:002011-08-11T20:25:25.821+08:00hey thanks a lot its very helpful..hey thanks a lot its very helpful..syed alinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6439161.post-12165418743542038712011-08-09T15:47:09.502+08:002011-08-09T15:47:09.502+08:00Serena, please post a comment with your email so I...Serena, please post a comment with your email so I can get in touch with you. But then I visited Edimax.ru and found firmware v1.22 there which dates from 07.07.10 and to my great relief this update solved the problem - for over 24 hours the router runs smoothly now! Here is the BR-6226n support page in Russian with clear download links at the bottom of the page: http://www.edimax.ru/ru/support_detail.php?pl1_idSelect=support.php%3Fpl1_id%3D3%26mwsp%3D1&pl1_id=3&pd_id=286&button=Go
My own old Edimax BR-6204Wg also lacks latest firmware on the English site but it can be found at the russian one. I can not explain such an idiosyncrasy on the part on Edimax but my router runs without a glitch with that latest driver from russian site!
On a more philosophical note I'd agree with you that Linksys is a safer bet for some people in some situations, but the price difference where I live between BR-6226n (NIS130) and the cheapest n-router from Linksys WRT120N (NIS295) amounts to 42USD which I was happy to save to my friend in this case.
Anyway, thank you for the original post as we just might have helped others with this annoying technical problem as a result!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6439161.post-10582395094577395972010-07-11T20:08:45.652+08:002010-07-11T20:08:45.652+08:00If it's still under warranty, I'd encourag...If it's still under warranty, I'd encourage you to get a replacement instead. Linksys models offer less for the same money, but I have not had problems with the Linksys for 4 months running. And I run it for weeks without powering it off. We are asking for your support to please help us spread our message in raising awareness re: Philippine Climate Adaptability Challenge. Please take time to visit the links below and please post comments and ratings. Below also is a message from our Executive Director, Illac Diaz.

Feel free to ask questions. You can reach me on my email: gladys_79@yahoo.com

Many, many thanks! :)

http://www.spot.ph/2009/11/09/marc-abaya-karl-roy-lead-musicians-in-a-song-about-climate-change/

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCxhqROh8q4

Climate change is real. Addressing climate change requires a mix of mitigation and adaptation. This requires more mitigation for industrialized countries and more adaptation for developing countries.
This can be translated into one simple scenario : While the industrialized world continues to send up tonnes of carbon into the atmosphere, whether or not we blur the amounts through carbon credits,
hopes are fading for those who will be receiving the sharp end of the Damocles sword; the developing world. The urgency is to realize that this is not going to stop at 350 ppm, or even double at 600 ppm, the Philippines has to realize that despite all the petitions and feel good campaigns of dreams for a climate stabilized world, real solutions need to be done. We have to get to the part where we learn
to start dealing with this. The country is located right beside the warmest parts of the ocean that is in the perfect storm of vulnerable coastlines, intense winds, and an observation of growing dumping of
large amounts of rain. We need to live in a world where climate will hit the poorest of the poor first, regardless of where they live, it will test our resiliency as a city, as a village, as a community, and
specially as a people. This song is dedicated to the awareness that dealing with one ONDOY is not the victory, but a climate of change will be the battle of this generation.

Illac Diaz
Executive Director
Design Against The ElementsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6439161.post-8786532247804828952009-10-28T16:58:36.677+08:002009-10-28T16:58:36.677+08:00hey, thanks. my mother-in-law uses an old Pentium ...hey, thanks. my mother-in-law uses an old Pentium 4 Inspiron and I can point her to this website for this.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6439161.post-61020368880960600562009-10-04T12:49:00.048+08:002009-10-04T12:49:00.048+08:00Until now I have not received any SMS from PixME.....Until now I have not received any SMS from PixME...have tried so many times already...Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13717760510945783504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6439161.post-33195586016183231932008-05-15T11:25:00.000+08:002008-05-15T11:25:00.000+08:00i dont know about the other puters that you have b...i dont know about the other puters that you have been using but right now i am using the d201gly2a and the first model. not the fastest board but not the slowest either. also it supports 2 gigs of ram which picks things up quite nicely. pack that into a shoe box with a 120watt, a hard drive and you would have the perfect internet, mp3, and yes movie machine.foureyed folderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01170150307465006713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6439161.post-3266636248111665602007-12-22T23:25:00.000+08:002007-12-22T23:25:00.000+08:00test once moretest once moreAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
